Obituary For Allen "Victor" Victoria Gosbee

It is with great sadness that we, the children of Allen Victoria Gosbee (Victor) 89, of Eastern Passage, announce that our beautiful father has left his mortal coil behind to ascend to Heaven to be with his loving wife Ruby (Hilchie).

Born in Cooks Cove, Guysborough Co. NS. on May 24th, 1932 to the late Joseph and Lexie Gosbee (Worth) of Cooks Cove.

As a young man growing up in small town Guysborough, it is where he would meet the love of his life with whom he would spend the next 65+ years, our loving mother, who predeceased him in 2019, and with whom he is now enjoying being by her side in Heaven.

In his younger years he served on various boats as a deckhand in and around his boyhood home, before moving to Halifax to work for Shaw Brick and Woodlawn Dairy as a delivery driver, as well s a bus driver for the City Of Dartmouth, before moving to the job he would retire from in 1991 as a warehouse worker/driver for the province of Nova Scotia at AVTC in Halifax, then eventually moving to the other side of the Harbour to Dartmouth.

Dad loved to hunt, he especially enjoyed and cherished the times he would spend at Susan's, as well as at various places in the province doing just that, always hunting, never catching. As kids, he and Mum would bring us camping all over the Maritimes having tons of fun and meeting new friends along the way. He and Mum were former members of The Halifax/Dartmouth Power Boat Club where he very much enjoyed camping and driving his boat around the various lakes.

Left to mourn his loss and to keep his memory alive are daughters; Viola, Wanda (Dan), Susan (Joe), Bonny (Robert) and son Allen (Tammy). As well 11 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, and 9 Great Great Grandchildren. As well as several sister and brother's-in-law.

Dad was the last member of his immediate family, and was predeceased by brothers; Bill, Jack and George. Sisters; Bertha, Margaret, and Stella. Half siblings; Martha, Harvey, Wilfred, Joseph, Agatha, and Elizabeth, as well as son-in-law Phil.

We would like to thank the caring people of Northwood Homecare and Bisset Court Shannex for the wonderful care they provided to dad.

Cremation has taken place. As a result of Covid-19, internment will be t a later date.
