Obituary For Alma Jean Sparks
Sparks, Alma -64 Dartmouth, passed away Sunday September 19, 2021 at Hospice Halifax. Born in East Preston, to the late Lawrence and Edna (Taylor) Sparks. Alma worked in the hospitality Industry up until her illness.
Alma was committed to her family and friends, always counted on in providing comfort, support, and advice. At family gatherings or parties it was not the same without her famous beef macaroni!
Survived by her sister, Daisy; brothers, Lawrence “Henry”(Sarah), Harold (Gail), George (Paula); sister in-laws Linda; godchildren Alexis Sparks and Kyah Sparks; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by paternal grandparents, William and Bertha Sparks, maternal grandparents, George and Lavinia Taylor; brothers, Murray, Fredrick, Cecil, Michael and sisters Betty, Beverly, Florence and Connie.
Funeral service will be held at the East Preston United Baptist Church Friday October 8th 1pm with Rev. Dr. Joyce Ross officiating.
Donations can be made to the Cancer Society. Special thanks to the staff of the Dartmouth General 3 West and Hospice Halifax for the care they provided.

Our condolences and heartfelt thoughts and prayers with our family. It just seems like a downpour of sickness and death but thanks be to God for His unfailing love, grace and comfort- even now. Condolences to the entire Sparks Family. I met Alma many years ago, in fact I was a young child. I would often run into her and she always managed to remember me. Although I have not seen Alma for many years, I am truly sadden to hear of her passing. Alma, May God keep you safe in his eternal arms, Rest In Peace Chrissy Lucas
