Obituary For John Henry Breisch
Age 88 of Dartmouth, had a brief illness and died peacefully at the Dartmouth General Hospital on Sunday, October 9, 2022.
Born in London, ON, he spent most of his working years in California. He returned to Nova Scotia in 1982 and was employed at the Maritime Secretarial Academy.
John never worried, he loved his simple life, enjoyed traveling, and playing cards, and had an avid interest in world geography. He always had a cat and enjoyed good food.
John was the last surviving member of his immediate family and was predeceased by his parents, brother, and two sisters. He will be missed by his former wife, Lorraine Coulombe, stepson Rene (Normalyn), and three step-grandsons, Justin, Ethan, and Byron; his nephew Richard MacKenzie (Diane); Lorelei Burgess (Jeremy) and family; Breanna Worton (Chris); other nephews not living in Nova Scotia; many friends; and his cat Ashley.
As per John's wishes, there will be no funeral but a celebration of life with the date to be determined.

John had a heart (and a famous rope chain with eagle pendant) made of gold. I had the pleasure of knowing John for the last 15 years. He was a kind, fun-loving soul who was adored by many. I'll truly miss you, John. My condolences to your loved ones - who you spoke of often and with great pride and reverence.

Sorry to hear of Johnie's passing. He was a avid poker player and he will certainly be missed from our monthly game. Unfortunately COVID prevented us from playing for the past couple of years. I know Johnie was looking forward to starting up again. Johnie was part of this game for 40 years. Hopefully there's a poker game in heaven for him. Please accept my condolences. He will be missed.
