It is with heavy heart and profound sadness I announce the passing of my mom and best friend Gloria Evelyn Andrews, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia at the Dartmouth General Hospital.

She is survived by her only child Jean (John) Miller – East Chezzetcook; Grandsons - Joshua(Jessica) Huff- Dartmouth and Johnathan (Alice) Miller – East Chezzetcook and 5 Great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Thomas(Archie) Andrews, and brothers Steve Peebles – Halifax and Bud Laing – Vancouver. 67 years ago my mom and dad were united in love and marriage and mom was reunited with my dad on their wedding anniversary. Special thanks to moms doctor and friend Dr. Amos Peres and the special doctors and nurses at 4East Dartmouth General Hospital. Cremation has taken place. There will be a family celebration of life at a future date.

“What though the radiance

Which was once so bright,

Be now for ever taken from my sight

Though nothing can bring back the hour of Splendor

In the grass, of glory in the flower,

We will grieve not, rather find strength in what remains behind

Jeanne, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. Memories came flooding back of all the time spend at your house. Remember our trips to Moneeal to watch the hockey games..... I lost my mother in 2014 and I still reach for the phone to ask her something. Please find some comfort that we, your old friends remember ... Love Bethe.

We moved to Humber Park in June of 1968. Archie, Gloria and their daughter Jean were one of the families already living here. They were good and reliable neighbours and we felt fortunate to have Jean for a babysitter. Our Sincere Sympathy to Jean and her family on the loss of Gloria. Marie and John Harlow

My deepest sympathy to you on the loss of your mom, Gloria. Gloria was my first cousin, her Dad and my father, Frank were brothers. Over the years we lost touch as people often do, and the last time I saw your mom was at my mother's (Dorothy/Dot Peebles') funeral in 1998. I was happy to connect with her even if only briefly. Sending you and your family prayers and love. Carol (Peebles) LeBlanc email: cleblanc_1@comcast.net
