Obituary For Pamela Margaret Stackhouse

Pamela Margaret Stackhouse 60, of Middle Sackville, formerly Cole Harbour. Passed away peacefully at home October 11, 2025.

Born in Halifax, she was the beloved daughter of Wayne and Florence Stackhouse, Cole Harbour.

Pamela had the absolute best smile! She loved to laugh and make others smile and laugh as well. You always felt good when you spent time with her. Friends became like family and family were friends, she loved and cared deeply about both. Pamela loved nothing better than spending time with family and friends: either out on an adventure, socializing at events, or just being quietly together.

She spoke her mind, and you always knew where Pamela stood, which is usually right by your side when you needed someone. Pamela’s beautiful personality brightened your day, and her inner strength was something to be admired. She loved the colour red, David Bowie, and wrote beautiful poetry. Her independence was hard-won and very much deserved. Her career with RBC insurance was something that she and her family were very proud of, and she spoke often of her happiness there and about how awesome everyone was to work with.

Her sister and brother fondly remember Pamela caring for them when they were younger while our parents worked hard; the bonds forged by that care continued and only grew stronger as they all grew up. They remember her amazing cooking, and especially the boiled icing which she would make especially for her sister as a treat. Pamela loved spending quality time in her home with Charlie, her beloved cat. Charlie was the Prince of her peaceable kingdom.

Deeply mourned by her parents and siblings: Angela (Jason) Quinn and Michael (Chrisanna), both of Cape Breton, and nibling: Lily Maya. As well as special friends and family, of whom there are too many to name individually. Pamela will be missed by many people that benefitted from her care and support, those that she shared a laugh with, and those that loved her.

Pamela loved animals and was active in supporting groups such as the SPCA and Hope for Wildlife. The family requests no flowers, instead please support Hope for Wildlife by donating in Pamela’s name: https://www.hopeforwildlife.net/support

There will be no funeral or visitation by the family’s request at this time. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.

My deepest sympathy to the family at this most difficult time. Pamela was a lovely lady with a large personality and a great smile. She will be deeply missed. We have known her almost all her life which was shortened much too fast. Rest in peace Pamela.

I only met Pamela once, but I immediately felt like we had known each other for a long time. She was so kind and welcoming. My deepest sympathies to your family.
