Obituary For Patricia Anne Munt (Dill)

Patricia Anne Munt (Dill) 79

It is with broken hearts that the family of Patricia Anne Munt announce her passing after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease and Dementia.

Patricia passed away on May 14, 2026, with family and carers of the Admiral Long-Term Care facility, by her side.

Patricia was a kind and quiet individual who enjoyed a good book, and a sweet treat. She was often up for a game of Scrabble or a CrossWord Puzzle. Pat spent over 20 years working at Atlantic School of Theology, in Halifax, helping many clergy fulfill their journey working in their chosen divinity. Amazingly, despite dementia, Pat loved to patrol the halls in the nursing home checking out each noise and occasionally sitting at the “secretary” desk to monitor affairs. Patricia’s caring spirit also led her to support many individuals during times of crisis while volunteering on a Help Phone Line.

Although quiet by nature Patricia also had an adventurous spirit which was evident when, at age 17, she became the youngest female sky-diver in Nova Scotia. Her adventurous spirit was also evident by her many trips South, with her life partner, Tom Ptolemy, as well as her time in Europe with her dear friend Cheryl. Patricia also cherished her time spent at the cottage in Toney River, particularly with her cousin Emily.

Patricia was predeceased by her parents Andrew and Inez Dill (ne: Stephen), her dear Aunt Mary Vaughan, her many aunts and uncles, and Tom’s son Craig Ptolemy. Left with many wonderful memories are her partner Tom Ptolemy, her girls Rachael Baker (James), and Marianne MacDonald (Jeff), and son Andrew McCurdy as well as Tom’s children Joyce Pardy (Matthew in heaven), Allan Ptolemy (Jenn). Patricia also leaves behind her siblings Brian Dill and Charlie Dill (Janice), as well as many loving cousins, and friends. Patricia will also be remembered by her many grandchildren, Kayla, Jayde, Harley, Danielle, Alex, Alyssa, Eric, Devin, Jack, Emma, Amelia, Liam, Chloe, Maggie, Emily, Briella, and Joshua.

In keeping with Patricia’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private celebration of life for Pat will take place at a later time.

Those wishing to honour Patricia may do so through donations to the Avalon Sexual Assault Center or Bide Awhile Animal Shelter.
