Obituary For Paul Winton Cunningham

Cunningham, Paul Winton, 52, of Liverpool, Queens County, died on Wednesday February 4th, 2026, at the QEII Halifax Hospital after a difficult battle with cancer.

Born in Liverpool, Queens County, he was the son of Gilbert “Junior” Cunningham and Sylvia (Frelick) Cunningham.

Paul was a dedicated and dependable worker. When he wasn't working at Brady's or with the Region of Queens Municipality, he was helping friends and the community with his snow removal and landscaping business. He was well-respected by those close to him.

Besides working, Paul enjoyed spending time with his family and friends or keeping to himself. Other than that, he enjoyed music, tinkering in his building in his spare time, going for runs on the 4-wheeler paths with buddies, or sitting down to play games.

He is survived by his lifelong partner, Karen Conrad, their daughter Chelsey Cunningham, his partner's mother Donna Conrad, sister Lisa Croft and her husband Sean Croft, niece Haley Croft and nephew Richard Croft.

Paul was predeceased by his grandparents and brother, Wayne Cunningham.

Cremation has taken place.

At Paul's request, there will be no funeral service. Any donations can be given to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choosing.

A celebration of his life is planned for a later date for friends and family.

Karen, Chelsey and family, Paul is a huge loss to our neighborhood, if you wanted help all you had to do was ask and if he noticed something you didn't have to, he did it. To meet him was to like him and a friend all who did. To say hearing of his passing would be an understatement & shock. Please accept our heartfelt condolences & if you need anything we are only a couple houses apart.😪😪😪

Karen,Chelsea and family. Sorry for your lost. Paul was a great guy and friend. Remember the good times and keep them close to your heart. One of the best times I had with Paul and Karen was when we went to Arby's and Paul ordered 3 meals. The person at the counter didn't take my order as they thought Paul had ordered for all of us. Only 2 meals was Paul's and the other one was Karen's. Paul will be missed deeply.

Wow were to start, Paul gave me my first BMX bicycle, introduced me to metallica, we had many laughs together maybe even a few tears, over the years we grew apart but when we met up it was if a day hadn't past, he was like my big brother growing up, always had my back when big kids would pick at me, he will be deeply missed and always loved.
