It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Philip John Shea (64)

Born in Halifax to Donna (Leeds) O'Neill (Frank) and the late James Shea, Philip was a lover of nature. His passion was photography and the water. He loved to drive across the province and experiment with his camera. He personally excelled as a swimmer, but was an avid watcher of sports as well. He was a die hard fan of the Maple Leafs since the age of 9 and also cheered on the Steelers during the football season.

He also loved to learn. He was open to trying all foods and cooking different cuisine, and was admirable in his attempts to learn new languages, perhaps too many at once!

His daughter's will cherish their childhoods spent at the lake, the numerous trips to Upper Clements, and the pizza sandwiches.

Besides his mother and stepfather, he is survived by daughters Amanda Richard Shea of Lunenburg, Jessica Richard Shea (Philip Bednell) of Scotland, and Samantha Shea of Dartmouth. His sister Nicole Maurice (Jody) and their children Emily Nauffts and Carter Maurice, all of Windsor Ontario. He is also survived by cousins Cheryl Leeds of Halifax and Jason Stothart of Windsor, Ontario. We would also like to thank his close friend Sheila Bagnell for her years of companionship.

He was predeceased by his biological father Pat Raymond, his uncles Ricky, Randy, and Robert Leeds who were like brothers to him. His aunt Jeanette Leeds (his 'other mother' and best friend) and his aunt Carol (Leeds) Stothart (her late husband Bill), and cousin Shawn Stothart.

In keeping with Philips wishes, there will be no service or visitation. Those wishing to honor Philip memories, can make donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
