Obituary For Harold M Thompson

Harold M. Thompson, born in Montreal, July 21,1942, passed away at Northwood Nursing Home on February 28, 2022 with Willa, his loving wife of 36 years by his side.

In his youth, Harold was in the Block Watch Cadets and Reserves, before taking a turn at modelling men's suits. He moved to Calgary in the 60's working as a machinist, then to Edmonton starting an interior decorating business. Harold and Willa met in Edmonton at Blondies Restaurant and they've been together ever since.

Harold was a kind and thoughtful man who loved golf, football and having a laugh with friends. He was a member of various Legions in both Alberta and Nova Scotia.

Diagnosed at 56 with dementia, he moved to NS to enjoy the oceanside, hoping to winter in Florida with his lifetime best friend Bob Hanni.

Harold is survived by his wife Willa Ann Thompson, son Shawn (Shelly) Thompson; his step children Charles (Darlene), Darcy (Christine), Kirby (Twila), Craig (Lynette) Hatt, his sister Carole Ann (John) Ryan, numerous grandchildren, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his parents Earnest and Florence Thompson and step son Christopher Logan (Hatt).

A sincere thank you to the staff at Northwood 2-C for all the love, care and support shown to both Harold and Willa over the past nine years, you are truly appreciated!

Celebration of life to be held at the Branch 161 Eastern Marine Legion, Gaetz Brook, NS on March 13th at 1pm.
