It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cathy Fay Billard, who passed away peacefully on October 4, 2026, at the age of 65, at the Admiral Long Term Care Centre in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

Cathy grew up in Dartmouth, surrounded by a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Cathy was truly one of a kind. Strong-willed and independent, she had her own way of doing things and walked her own path through life. She had a creative spirit and found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially reading, knitting, and crafting.

Cathy is survived by her father, Leslie Billard; her sister, Tina Hay (Dave); her brother, Scott Billard (Amanda); Jeff Guest (Heather) and Kevin Guest (Lisa); her nieces, Carolyn Hall (Cody) and Erin Hay (Cole); and her nephew, Alex Billard.

She was predeceased by her mother, Frances Billard, and her stepmother, Joyce Guest.

Cathy will be remembered for her individuality, her creativity, and the memories she leaves behind. She will always hold a place in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Admiral Long Term Care Centre for the kindness, compassion, and care they showed Cathy.

Cremation has taken place, and Cathy will be laid to rest at Heritage Oak Columbarium & Memorial Garden.

May she now find the peace and rest she deserves.
