Obituary For Lloyd George Clark

It is with regret to announce the passing of our father on September 2, 2021 at Camphill Hospital in Halifax, N.S. Lloyd was born in Imperoyal, N.S. to Joseph and Ellen Clark (England). Predeased by parents, brothers and sister, wife Mary, son George, daughter Barbara and son in law Rick. Survived by daughters Margaret (Bernie) Daye of Jeddore and Jean (Gerry) Perry of Dartmouth. As well as many Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren. Lloyd left home at age 14 yrs to work on an Oil Tanker as a Mess boy where he enjoyed Seagull Pie shot down by the Captain! At age 17yrs. He enlisted in the army and served during World War 2. On leave he met Mary, the love of his life (after dating her sister 1st ) and they later married and stayed together for over 70 yrs. Lloyd worked as a Pipe Fitter at Imperial Oil for over 30 yrs. Lloyd enjoyed family gatherings at his daughter’s home in Jeddore. Loved to hear of the adventures of his grandchildren; which he loved to repeat to all that would listen. Lloyd told great stories, enjoyed good food, spoiled his cat Butch and loved his family. Dad was always there to help his girls with anything . We will miss his sense of humor and teasing. May he and Mom have fun exploring the universe together. Lots of thanks to the staff at Camp Hill for looking after Dad so well these past few months. Service to be held on the Matthew lawn in Spring 2022. LOVE AND KISSES DADDY!!!

I didn't find out about Lloyd's passing until way after the fact. I hate that I didn't know. Mary and Lloyd were customers of mine at Burger King on Tacoma Drive...but more than that, they became my friends. Love and miss them. Liz Hayward

Margaret, Jean & families: So sorry to hear you've lost your Dad. May he rest in peace. Lloyd & Mary were our good neighbours for almost 60 years. We miss both of them. Love and Prayers to all of you.
