In Memory of Christopher Leo Watson Burgess.

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Christopher Leo Watson Burgess, age 70, who left this earth peacefully at his home in Dartmouth on September 17th.

Chris was the son of the late Nina J. Taylor and Clarence “Junior” Burgess.

Born and raised in Windsor, Nova Scotia, Chris spent a lifetime in the auto parts industry, from his early days at Windsor Auto to the conclusion of his career at C&R Auto in Halifax, sharing his expertise, solving problems, and helping others.

Chris had many passions throughout his life. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his brothers. He was also well known for his love of his CB radio and the many friends and connections he made through it. If there was a car that needed tinkering with, Chris was usually happy to get his hands on it. He was an avid movie lover, a dedicated gamer, and above all, a lifelong racing enthusiast who rarely missed a NASCAR or IndyCar event.

Chris was predeceased by his parents, Nina J. Taylor and Clarence “Junior” Burgess.

He will be remembered by his stepfather, Roger Taylor; daughter Angela (Dan); son Kyle (Erika); brothers Denis (Tracy) and Tim (Tanya); granddaughters Edie, Bea, and Audrey; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private graveside committal service will be held for family and close friends at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Cemetery, Windsor, NS at a later date.

In honoring Chris’ memory, his family takes comfort in the quiet strength he carried every day. Chris knew he only had to carry the day ahead of him, one day at a time.
