I am so sorry to hear of Aunt Rita's passing. Since she was my father's only sister, she was a beautiful addition to my childhood. She always welcomed me with open arms. I have many fond memories of visiting her at Christmas time; Uncle Joe on the banjo and food galore. My heart goes out to you Christine, Linda, Steven and Joey. She will always be in your heart. Love Phyllis

Our condolences to all the Awalt family members. We will miss Rita so much as she was such a loving and beautiful woman. We had many great times playing auction 45's on Sat night or going to dances with other friends of her family. Her and Joe were like our 2nd mother and father . Rita was my dance partner when we went to Ardoise Community Hall on some Saturday nights . Joe and Anne dance together also. We will miss her dearly 😥💝💔 . May she rest in peace !! I am deeply saddened to hear of Rita's unfortunate passing. Christine and I were very good friends as young teenagers. Rita and Joe welcomed me into their home and I was always meant to feel like they were my second family. Having lost both my parents, I understand and empathize with the emotions you will no doubt experience with Rita's passing. Please know that both Lloyd and I are sharing in your grief. Love always Peggy and Lloyd Ferguson

My condolences to the Awalt family. Rita was my Bingo Buddy for many years. She always was ready for a good laugh. I don't know how she played so many cards at one time and still managed to talk throughout bingo. I had the honor of teaching her two sons and daughter-in-law Annette. Rita was a great mom and a wonderful person. I will cherish the many fond memories we shared. - Bernie Scott
