Obituary For Beatrice Weaver
It is with sadness we said good bye to our Mom Beatrice Weaver 86 on December 23rd, 2025 at home in front of her Christmas tree.
Born in Westville NS to the late Peter and Beatrice (Garneau) Johnstone she was one of 13 children. Mom was a wonderful wife, mother, Grammie, Great Grammie and friend. Moms’ door was always open and the teapot was always on. Three special life long friends Joan, Maude and Ann had many cups of tea over 50 + years. Mom played Bingo for many years at St Agnes Church, she loved shopping especially at Mission Mart and Giant Tiger and most times had a McDonalds ice cream cone on the drive home.
Mom was very particular about her laundry “no mixed loads”. Many nights her fur baby cat Sammy snuggled by her side, she loved him so much. Moms greatest joy was when her grandchildren and great grandchildren dropped in for a visit or cookie. Her arms were always open for a hug. There was a very special place in her heart for her son in law and daughters in law which she often said how lucky she was to have them.
Mom had a very special bond with her sister-in-law Phyllis Weaver whom she knew since she was 3 yrs old. There bond tightened when they married twin brothers John and Jim. Christmas was Mom’s favorite time of year, she loved shopping for her entire family and preparing for her Christmas eve open house feast for over 50 years.
Mom is survived by her Daughter Michelle (Cleve) Sons John (Diane), Scott (Annette), Duane, Todd (Cindy). Grandchildren Erin, Joel, Ryan, Kelsey, Tasha, Jennifer, Jocelyn, Jillian, Jamie. Great Grandchildren Sophie, Brooklyn, Kesler, London, Isla, Lucas, Colton, Elsie, Callum, Palmer, Harrison and Freddie. Brother Fraser(Leslie) Sister in law Phyllis Weaver and many nieces and nephews. Gone before her was husband John, son and daughter in infancy John and Mary, sisters Penny, Wanda, Jane, Teresa, Ida, Cameal, Caroline, Brenda ,brothers Sonny, Norman and Paul.
Family committal will be held Saturday June 27th, 2026 2pm 2601 Picken Street, Westville, NS. In memory of Mom a donation of socks to those in need especially this time of year would put a smile on her face or Bide a While Animal Shelter, Hope for Wildlife.
We love you Mom and will miss you dearly.
Condolences
