Obituaries

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother at 103 yrs old at Oakville Terrace on September 21st, 2026 after a lengthy illness.

Born in Dartmouth in August 1923. Youngest daughter of William Francis and Christine Ann Wegener ( Mac Lean ) Joy is the last remaining member of her family.

Lifetime member of the United Church of Canada and the UCW of Fall River. Our Mom was a gracious lady and a loving Mother. Joy loved to cook and bake. Joy loved to travel with her soulmate Carl. She was a very good sewer and knitter. Mom loved her home and gardens, especially yellow roses. She lived with Alan for 11 yrs then came to live with me in Eastern Passage for 11 yrs. Loved ocean drives.

Mom could talk to you about anything whether it was politics, or life in general Mom and Alan had many good times with a glass of wine out on the patio swing. Mom would give you the shirt off her back. Loved all her dogs and grand dogs. Loved the train rides up to Trenton On. with me for vacations, She loved to shop and dress to nines, camping , dancing on the table tops at times. My Mom loved life. Not only was she our mom but our Best friend.

Survived by her daughter Christine Anne ( David Wash) Eastern Passage, sons Carl Bruce Dodge Hfx, Alan Keith Dodge Fall River, 1 grandson Duane Dodge ( Kendra) Lower Sackville. 3 Great grand children

Cremation has taken place per Joy`s request. Interment at a later date.
