Obituaries

    It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dale on July 29 , 2026, after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Bridgewater in 1953, the son of Byron and Lorinda (Conrad) Reinhardt.

    Upon graduating high school Dale worked with the Bank of Canada: after several years in Ontario, he returned to the province to work with the Municipality of Halifax County and HRM. Dale loved sports and played on his high school hockey team and soccer team when they won the provincial soccer championship. On retirement much of his time was spent on the golf course, his favourite watering hole Mickeys (where everyone new your name), a Friday ritual of grocery shopping with his best friend; or go on a long walk. One of his favorite places in the summer was the Public Gardens. Compassion, kindness and humility were a few of his tributes and as a result he made many friends. On many occasions when he came back to his apartment there was a home cooked meal hanging on his door; from the many female friends residing in his building.

    He is survived by his sons Jeffrey, Keith, brother Morton, Bishopville, and Wayne, Dartmouth. He was predeceased by his sister Ruby(Northover), Ontario and brother Wilson, Timberlea.

    A special thanks to the staff at Glasgow Hall; Parkland for all the outstanding care and comfort they provided Dale during his illness.

    Keeping with Dales wishes there will be no visitation or service. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
