Obituary For Gilbert Wesley Colley

Colley, Gilbert Wesley, 64 of East Preston passed away at home on Monday April 20, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.

Born in East Preston, he was a son of Audrey (Glasgow) Colley and the late Gilbert A Colley. Gilbert was a Labourer for many businesses in the community throughout his life. He also helped out seniors in the community up until his illness and will be sadly missed. He had enjoyed walking with his golf iron on the # 7 highway, doing word search puzzles, watching TV and hanging out with his brothers. He is survived by his sisters Irma Colley; Joan (Tim) Smith; Greta (John) Crooks; brothers Steven Colley; Blair Colley; Allison Colley and Allen (Joyce) Colley. Nieces, nephews, aunts, special uncle and several cousins. Predeceased by brothers Dennis Colley, Lester Colley and Ward Colley.

Arrangements are under the care of Donald K Walker Funeral Directors Ltd. Cremation has taken place. Due to COVID-19 their will be no visitation or service at this time.

    Our family extends sincere condolences to Sister Audrey and family. We admire your strength and living example of love. We remember 'Little Gilbert'. His smile, his meekness, his love and work ethics are remembered and were shared with many. When I visited him in hospital he was so welcoming as we prayed together (a cherished memory). We will miss his many walks pass our home and his pleasantness. To God be the glory. Rest in peace friend.

Gilbert Wesley Colley Jr. Gilbert Jr. will be fondly remembered for his generosity and hard work ethic. Without hesitation whenever called upon, Gilbert always made time to lend a helping hand to many individuals throughout the community and beyond. He will be missed dearly but be comforted in knowing that those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.It is our prayer that you will feel God's unfailing love during the days and months ahead and that you remember that we are here for you in your time of need.     To the Colley family. We would like to send our deepest condolences as we are truly sorry for the loss of Gilbert(aka)Faddy. We all remember the days of him and his brothers, coming by the house to visit. We will miss seeing you walking out home, wearing your hat and carrying your stick.
