Obituary For Gordon Elmer Rayner
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gordon “Elmer” Rayner (1958 – December 26, 2025).
Elmer, 67, of Beaver Bank, passed away unexpectedly at home. He worked over 40 years with Dexter Construction and was admired for his strong work ethic, sense of humor, and love for hot rods, trucks, old cars, and drag racing—anything with an engine.
He is survived by his loving wife Cheryl and her son; children Christopher, Joseph (Chelsea), and Amy; stepdaughter Tara; granddaughter Myla; brother Raymond; nieces and nephews; and long-time friend Terry.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, January 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Beaver Bank Lions Club, 40 Sandy Lake Rd, Beaver Bank, NS. Please bring copies of any photos of Elmer for display and family keepsakes. Light refreshments will be served; small potluck items are welcome but completely optional.

Condolences to your family. I've known Elmer since we were kids, growing up in Sackville. He was good buddies with my brother, Adam Comeau. They got up to all kinds of shenanigans. Never a dull moment! Elmer was a good guy. ❤️ - Lisa Comeau

Elmer will be dearly missed. I worked with him at Dexter, he always made me smile and laugh. He mattered in my life and I will miss him. My condolences to his family 💔💔
