Obituaries

Michael Lee Carmichael passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on the afternoon of August 30th, 2023, at the age of 52. Mike grew up in a small town named Apple River, just outside of Advocate Harbour and was 1 of 5 children. Mike made many friendships in Advocate, and considered them to be his family, and many of those friendships endured through to the end of his life. Mike could always be recognized by his smile, which he wore often. Mike was a talented athlete, excelling in basketball and soccer. Mike was a blue-collar man, accustomed to hard work who would do anything to provide for his family. Mike spent most of his free time with his sons; and their annual trips to PEI were always a highlight of the summer.

Michael is survived by his 2 boys, Justin, and Andrew, and many nieces and nephews whom he loved very much. Mike will be sorely missed by all those who knew him but will not be forgotten.

There will be a celebration of life on September 30th, 1:00pm at Advocate Harbour Fire Hall.
