POWER, Ada Elizabeth (Slaunwhite)

November 21, 1949 – September 28, 2022

Ada Power 72, of Terence Bay, quietly left the world on September 28, 2022 at the QE11 Health Sciences Center in Halifax.

She had a love for bingo, reading, card games, quilting, cottage life, but most importantly time spent with her family was most precious to her.

After a life full of meaning, Ada leaves with lasting love and treasured memories, her husband of 51 years: Ivan Power, her children Julie, and David (Deanne); sister Faye (Terry) Walker and a large number of nieces and nephews. Her life was made richer by numerous special friendship’s and she will be fondly remembered.

Ada was predeceased by her mother and father Ruth and Cecil Slaunwhite; and nephew Blaine Walker.

A special thank you to the nurses and doctors in the Palliative Care Unit at the QE11 Health Sciences Center for their outstanding care.

A funeral will be held on Oct 22nd at 10am St.Joseph’s Church, Shad Bay. A reception will follow at their family home in Terance Bay for family and friends.
