He is survived by sister Anna Feetham, loving wife of 67 years Carole (Hefler ),sons Robin (Nancy), Farrell, Marc, 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. His love of life and family will be the memories we hold closest to our hearts.
John was a man who had lived life to the fullest. His smile and infectious personality will be remembered by many, whether through business dealings in home construction, moulding manufacturing or introductions through golf and in later years at Casino Nova Scotia.
It wouldn’t be right if we didn’t make mention of his love of golf 🙂 When he eventually gave up his passion of bow hunting we were all concerned that given his “ MILD “ energy level he would become bored and wondered what direction he would take next for leisure entertainment. In earlier years we all remember the comments he made with respect to how could a person waste such valuable time beating a compressed elastic ball around a bunch of grass trying to avoid water and sand. Considering his internally competitive nature it was no wonder that within short order something had triggered a nerve that sent him astray for many years there after. His love of the game was second to non, which not only fulfilled his competitive desire but opened the door to so many new friendships which he cherished immensely. We do admit that those days of 54 holes were a bit overboard. Of coarse we would never dare make comment :-).
No matter what event whether family or social you could always rely on John for conversation and entertainment. He loved and succeeded to bring smiles to the many. His years on the hill in his beautiful black house is where we will never forget his love of nature while surrounded by the numerous pets throughout the years that brought comfort and peace to his heart. We will hold dearly the memories of a good man. God bless you John.
As per request there will be no service or celebration of life. Cremation has taken place and internment will be at the Catholic Church in Enfield for immediate family only.
In memory of, donation can be made to SPCA
