Obituary For Valentine "Val" Gerard Emberly

Emberly, Valentine (Val) Gerard, age 72, passed away after a lengthy illness at the Cumberland Regional Health Centre, Amherst.

Val was born in Halifax and grew up in Timberlea. He owned and operated Val’s Mobile Mechanical Repairs for over 20 years. Upon retirement he moved to Apple River, NS.

Val is survived by his wife Anna (Neaves), step children Lisa and Leonard, step grandson Kyle, brother Michael and sister Elizabeth. He was predeceased by his parents Vincent and Agnes (Donovan) Emberly and stepsister Cynthia.

Cremation has taken place. Grave side service 1PM September 9 2022 at the Advocate Cemetery. Family will gather at advocate fire hall after service.

    To Mrs.Emberly& family. I remember Val fondly from St.Andrew's in Tiimberlea where I taught primary for one year.He was exceptionally good at getting my car started on very cold winter days.A very nice young man,please accept my sympathy on you loss. Mary Clancy

    Yes I remember Val in grade eight at St Andrew s School in Timberlea about 1967. He had a lot of git er done as so to say. Have not been in contact for a long long time and it seems he has lived a good and successful life.
