Obituary For Donald R J Surette

In Loving Memory of

Donald R J Surette

Honoring a Life Well-Lived

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Donald Richard Joseph Surette, who departed this world on June 14, 2025. Born in May 1951, Don left an indelible mark on the lives of all who knew him.

Don was a person of immense kindness, wisdom, and generosity. He was known as a firefighter and fire investigator for his dedication, integrity, and compassion. Beyond his professional life, Don was a devoted father and a source of strength and support to his family, friends, and community.

Don is survived by his wife Sandra, his daughters Angela and Kimberley, his son David, and his beloved granddaughters Georgia and Ava. They will carry forward his memory with love and honor.

The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors, and staff at the QEII, the VG, Bayers Laker Dialysis clinic, and Halifax Metro Transit for their excellent care and consideration of him.

A celebration of Don's life will be held at the Kinsmen Centre, 71 First Lake Drive, Lower Sackville, N.S., on August 10, 2025, from 3 pm - 6 pm. The family kindly requests that donations be made to the Kidney Foundation, an organization close to Donnie’s heart.

We find comfort in knowing that Don’s spirit will continue to guide us, a beacon of love and resilience.

Rest in peace, you will be deeply missed and forever loved.
