Obituary For Mary "Pearl" Gregory (Kervin)

Mary “Pearl” Gregory (Kervin), 99, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Halifax she was the daughter of Stanley and Henora (Medoré) Kervin. She will be lovingly remembered by her brother, Robert Kervin; sister-in-law, Lorraine Kervin; and her many nieces and nephews and their families, who were so fortunate to have shared a special place in her heart.

Pearl was predeceased by her loving husband, Harry, as well as several sisters, sister-in-laws, and brothers-in-laws.

Pearl was a devoted Catholic whose faith was an important part of her life. She lived her beliefs each day and lovingly passed her faith on to those around her.

Although Pearl and Harry were never blessed with children of their own, they played an incredibly special role in the lives of so many. They were parents, grandparents, and, of course, the very best Aunt and Uncle anyone could have asked for. They opened their hearts and their home to their family, creating countless memories that will be treasured forever. How truly blessed we were to have them in our lives.

Pearl cherished her family and friends and relished every opportunity to have them gathered around her. Her love of cooking and baking was another way she showed her love, and so many enjoyed the delicious meals, treats, and memories she created over the years.

Her gentleness, strength, kindness, and unwavering love were constants throughout her life. Pearl was also an avid fan of hockey and baseball, but her greatest passion was harness racing. She was an owner and breeder of Standardbred horses, a passion that brought her tremendous joy and allowed her and her husband to meet and form friendships with so many wonderful people throughout the years.

Pearl leaves behind a lifetime of love, faith, family, friendships, and memories that will never be forgotten. Her gentle spirit and generous heart will live on in all those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

Those wishing to honor Pearl may makes donations in her name to a charity of your choice.

A mass will be celebrated at Blessed Mother Teresa of Kolkata Church on Monday, September 21st at 11:00am with a reception to follow.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Bayberry Cottage at The Meadows for the exceptional love, care, and compassion they provided to Pearl during her time there. Your kindness and dedication will always be remembered and deeply appreciated.
