Obituaries

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Doreen Marie Booth, of Lake Echo, on May 2, 2025, at the age of 86, at Ocean View Continuing Care Centre, with her daughter, Dawn, by her side.

Doreen is survived by her daughter Dawn (Dave), grandsons Ryan (Krystal) and Bradley (Melissa), brother Terry (Marie), nieces, Leanne and Kirsten (Nick), 5 great-grandchildren, 3 step-great-grandchildren, 1 great-niece and 3 great-nephews.

Doreen was predeceased by her parents Marshall and Frances, and sisters Barbara and Marsha.

Doreen was employed with the Bank of Nova Scotia for 37 years, where she will be remembered as the 'mighty Doreen of the file room'.

Family and friends will remember Doreen for her great sense of humour, where she never failed to make you laugh, along with her love of music and dancing. We can't forget her love of baseball, specifically the Blue Jays.

Special thanks to the staff of Ocean View, especially the staff of the Bayside neighbourhood. Your care and support was second to none and truly appreciated.

A celebration of Doreen's life will be held at a later date, to be announced. Donations may be made to Ocean View Continuing Care Centre, Eastern Passage, NS, or a charity of your choice.
