Obituary For Etherona (Snitch) May Boettcher

It is with deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Etherona (Snitch) May Boettcher January 16, 2021 while in Dartmouth General Hospital at the young age of 59.

May was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was creative, she loved crafting, decorating, cooking, going to the cottage, and gardening. She enjoyed spending time with her ladies of the Royal Canadian Legion and her friend Louise. May loved to spend time with her family. In fact— through her sickness she carried her great granddaughter Amiah’s teddy in her arms.

May is survived by her husband Cliff Boettcher which she spent 33 years of life with.

May was the daughter of Etherona Cain (deceased) and Rommie Byers (deceased).

She is survived by siblings Julie, Darlene, Evelyn, Harold, Della, Raymond, Betty (deceased), Romie (deceased), Johnny (deceased).

May had two daughters Evangeline Cain and Talia Cain.

Her grandchildren Destiny and Shataz Cain, Marlo Jr (Lj) Marqelle, and Halo Cain-Hamilton. Great grandchild - Amiah Cain-Graham.

At the time of her passing she was comforted by her loving husband Cliff, daughters Evangeline and Talia, and grandchildren Destiny, Shataz, and Halo.

The family would like to thank the staff of 5 East Dartmouth General Hospital and the Palliative Care Team for the wonderful care they gave our mom.

As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at a later date.

Tears roll down our face, because we miss you everyday, but we know you're in a better place.

We close our eyes and see your face

Suddenly we feel your love again.

We tried hard not to cry, but the pain we could not hide.

I’m not sure we will ever understand, but we know it is part of God’s plan. Loving you to pieces May— love all your family & friends.

You were the most amazing woman that I have ever met in my life. You were funny. Smart. Beautiful, and kind. I'm having a hard time accepting the fact that you are gone and I can no longer hear your voice, your laugh, smell your perfume on your skin or hold your hand. I can no longer give you a great big hug and tell you how much I love you. It's been hard without you and you will never be forgotten. I miss and love you so much Nanny. Life feels a little emptier now... but I hope you are resting peacefully. You were the greatest mother and grand mother that any person could ever have. I miss you. I love you so much, Nan. Thank you for everything beautiful 🦋 -Des

To Cliff and family please accept our sincerest condolences as you grieve the passing of your beloved wife. May was one of the most generous and gifted people I have known. Although RCLSomme Branch 31 no longer has a Ladies Auxiliary over the past several years May initiated and organized many events with and for the women of the Somme. She was a caring leader who offered her talents freely to all who followed her through unforgettable times and awesome events! May showed how much one person can positively influence many. To her daughters and grandchildren, her heart was full of love, she spoke of you often and was so happy to share pictures of her grandkids. May you have gone from us too soon but our loss is heaven's gain. Rest In Peace dear friend. Beverley and family
