Shirley, and all of Frank's family: I was gutted to learn of Frank's passing. Although I haven't seen him in recent years, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to speak with him on his last birthday. When he answered the phone, I belted out my rendition of the Beatles "Today is your Birthday". The happiness I heard when he said, "Duuude, that's my song! Thanks, Char!" will resonate with me forever. His love of classic rock, especially Pink Floyd, was unmatched and I'm confident that his one true love, Debbie Harry (Blondie), felt the disturbance in the Universe when he left this earth. Frank meant a lot to me, I thought of him often, and I told him so. There are no more push-ups to do while praying the Rosary. Rest easy, Francois - as long as I'm breathing, you won't be forgotten. Char xoxo

We were heartbroken when we heard the news of Frank's passing. Frank or "Francois" as we all called him at the Centre and to him we were either "Dude or Dudette", was loved by all at the North Woodside Community Centre. The Centre was his second home. He was more than just a coworker he was one of our family. His love for music, the Toronto Maple Leafs, and his love for knowledge with the many newspapers he loved to read made him such a great conversationalist as well as always up for a good argument on any given topic. He was dedicated and loyal. He took pride in his work. He was loved by all who encountered him when he walked through the halls. He hated being fussed over but always was there to show he cared when someone was hurt or upset. He was a man of pride. We were so lucky when he did come to any special event for another staff member such as my daughters graduation and my one daughters wedding as Frank was not a social butterfly. So you knew he really cared when he came to an event such as those. His Church meant a lot to him. We would see him happily walking down the road each Sunday. If offered a drive he would say "no I am fine dude". We will miss him terribly. He will always be remembered by all of us fondly and we will cherish all our memories. Debby and the Gang!!! He wasn't only an excellent neighbour he was a great friend. Rob and I miss our shopping spree which he had to all to three stores (superstore, lawtons and Sobeys) when peanut butter on sale would by extra to donate to the food bank at the church. When Rob was out to sea he made sure I was fine he always carried my groceries in the house which I would say no frank he would reply hey dude i got it. He would mow the lawn, shovel snow and make sure to garbage got to the corn on Thursday. He would hear the blender going and say hey dude was kind of smoothie is Michele making today or say hey dude what colour are your nails this week. He always thought of others before himself. He was loved and we miss him terribly.
