Obituary For Geraldine (Holly) Holly Sullivan

Holly Sullivan, daughter of Colleen Pinch and the late Armand Llewellyn passed away peacefully at the Halifax Infirmary with her loving husband Douglas at her side on Monday, February 15, 2021. Over the years Holly had many enjoyable things that she loved to do, but none was more important to her that her beloved dogs (after Doug that is). She was fond of swimming with her friends and was always in for a good belly laugh or joke. Anyone who knew Holly can attest to her second hand shopping. She was always glad to snoop, make precious buys and find great deals. Walking in her home one could see her well-displayed gems. Holly spent a long time, lovingly looking after Doug as he went through dialysis while awaiting a much needed kidney transplant. She was the family chauffeur and was known to pack up her precious tail-wagging dogs and smiling husband for short trips around her treasured province of Nova Scotia. As Doug was not able to drive, she willingly, dutifully and often with a smiling comment took Doug back and forth to work and to his many medical appointments. We will all miss her greatly, but most of us have a woolen cap to cherish. She was one fast and creative toque maker. Doug her husband of 45 years, and her mother-in-law Helen, her mother Colleen Pinch, sisters Nancy, Deborah (Peter), Rosalind (William), Elsie, brother John (Sandi) and sister-in-law Coleen along with her sister-in-law Margaret (Gary) and their children Nick and Josh, sister-in-law Renee (Brian) and their children Patrick, Jason and Gabriel as well as her nieces and nephews Matthew, David, Paul, Holly, Jeremy, Melissa, Darcy, Willie, Teresa, Kimberly and Donnie will all miss her. A celebration of life will be held in her honor at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of Holly may be made to the Halifax Infirmary. Sleep well and peacefully Holly.

Condolences

I will remember my niece as a fun loving girl who loved life. So sorry to hear of her death. 2 Cor 1:3 praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort , who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God. I have found great comfort from this scripture and in turn I hope who reads this will as well.
