Obituary For Shelly Lynn Leblanc

The family of Shelly Lynn (nee Gale/Walters) Leblanc. Age 66, of Eastern Passage is saddened to announce her passing on June 30, 2021 at the Dartmouth General Hospital following a lengthy battle with cancer with her loving husband by her side. Shelly will lovingly be remembered by her husband, Curtis Leblanc; daughter Angela Gale; grandchildren, Kristin Gale, Dalvin Gale; siblings, Anson (Karen) Walters, Barry (Dollena) Walters, and Colleen Bouchard; sister in law Jean ( Raymond) Walters as well as many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Shelly was predeceased by her parents Harley and Ellen (nee Cousins) Walters of Eastern Passage, brother Raymond Walters and sister in law Dollena Walters. Shelly loved her family very much and was always there to help when you needed her. She talked a lot about her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, going to bingo and playing cards. She loved to socialize and have fun with family and friends and always enjoyed a good laugh. She was a hard worker and had a hard time being idle for very long. Even when she was so ill it was hard to get her to be still and rest because to her there were always things to be done. Shelly will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her. The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Dartmouth General hospital for their care and compassion. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial Donations in Shelly’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be; so he put his arms around you and whispered, “Come with me”. With tearful eyes we watched you suffer and saw you fade away. Although we loved you dearly we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove he only takes the best!
