My heart aches to read of Goldies passing. As a 20 year old newlywed in 1985 I moved in across the hall from Goldie and Joe. Goldie came to visit and introduce herself after about 6 weeks, figuring she would give us time to unpack and settle in. We had nothing to unpack. A hide bed, table and 2 chairs. Goldie returned with item I still treasure to this day. In about an hour she pulled that bare little apartment in a comfy little home for us. Pictures for the walls, curtains, matching salt and pepper and napkin holders. Red dishes, matching glasses, throw pillows and a coffee table and doilies.....I was in heaven. So grateful for her generosity and kindness and friendship. She taught me to sort my whites, gossip respectfully :), we tuned in to the soaps daily. And when my firstborn came along, no one would have guessed she wasnt the grandmother. Our friendship spanned over 30 years. With each new baby born, Goldie was one of the first called Over the years our lives took different paths, but it was not uncommon to pick up the phone and continue on where we had left off the year before. My condolences to the family, it's always difficult to lose a loved one. As we each cross over in our own time, I have no doubt she will be on the greeting committee. RIP my friend

Sending condolences on the passing of your Mother. We lived next door to her for many years in Bonnie Brae. When we moved in 1999 we lost touch. We thought of her many times over the years. She loved my son Tristan as a little boy. She was a special lady and I never forgot her. Sending hugs and prayers to you all. Lisa Pollard
