Obituary For Ib Christensen

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Ib Christensen, at the young age of 72.

He leaves behind his loving wife Jonna and his children; Morten (Elisa) and Helle (Aric). Sisters; Susanne (Mogens) and Birthe. Grandchildren; Emma, Alan, Ayden, Madeline and Patricia. Niece and Nephew; Kia (Jesper) and Rune (Rebecca). Great niece’s and nephew; Isabelle, Cornelia and Valdemar.

Ib was born in Esbjerg Denmark to Tag and Ellen Christensen. In 1988 he made a brave decision to move his little family across the water to Canada and settled in Bedford NS. It was there where Ib and Jonna started to grow their roots, when they finally settled in Windsor Junction, NS.

In his earlier years, Ib traveled all over for work, starting a successful business which brought him to Canada. He had a passion for the water and you could often see him and Jonna touring the Nova Scotia coast lines on their boat, while entertaining friends and family.

If you knew Ib, you knew he always had a smile on his face and was welcoming to all who crossed his path. He will be forever missed and forever in our hearts.

Our deepest condolences to Jonna, Mort, Helle and the entire family. Ib loved his family so much and I will never forget the hours of practice that went into the speech he made at Mort and Elisa's wedding. He worked so very hard and did such a great job. I know life was difficult for Ib but he always greeted us with a big smile and that dimple. So did Jonna. Being the care giver is not for the faint of heart.
