Obituary For Heather Ruth Therrien (Flett)

Heather Ruth Therrien (Flett) was born in New Castle New Brunswick. Daughter of the late Haley and Muriel Flett (Watling), passed away suddenly at home with her husband Doris Therrien ( Flash) by her side.

Heather and Flash were married 45 years ago and shortly after started their family. They had 2 children, Dominic Therrien and Cathie Scott (Robert) who Heather held incredibly strong bonds with and still loved to “take care of.”

Heather had 2 very special grandchildren (Bailey and Easton Therrien) who she loved very much. She loved to watch them grow and hear about their sports and was extremely proud of them.

She also had 2 dog grandchildren who she referred to as Grammies girls (Karma and Indy). She was in constant awe of how smart they are and loved to give them treats.

Heather had a serious travel bug. She and Flash traveled their fair share over the years, and have seen so much together and spent a lot of quality time relaxing on beaches all over the world. She was an incredible chef and baker and sharing her creations made her happy. She would never turn down a nice glass of white wine, and she loved spending time at her trailer in the summer. And in the winter evenings she enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, TLC reality shows and curling. She was a sucker for a stray cat at her door, and always had a bowl of food to put out for them. Most of all she loved all of her friends and family around the world and her kitty, Haji.

Heather was an extremely strong woman, but behind that “tough as nails” facade, she was a loving, caring, thoughtful and a “never stop worrying” wife, mother, sister, Aunt , Grammie and friend.

Heather will be missed very much by those who loved her.

There will be no visitation or funeral as per Heather’s wishes. Cremation has taken place.

Donations may be made to the Nova Scotia SPCA.

Dear Flash, Cathie, Dominic and family, It was a shock to hear about Heather. She was a wonderful person, caring not only for family but for everyone with whom she made contact. She was a terrific neighbour and I remember the many times she made us laugh, shared a glass of wine, reminisced about the times our children were growing up, and shared gardening stories. Her shenanigans (for example, teaching Jerry about Viagra on his 50th) will always be remembered with fondness and most definitely with laughter. She loved you all. She will be greatly missed. - Judy & Jerry Black

Flash, Cathy and Dominic, our deepest condolences to you all. Heather was a great lady. We have a lot of great memories of Delhi. Heather was the first person that came to our SQ when we arrived in Delhi. We were there with a 6yr old and a 2 month old baby. She made sure we had food in our fridge when we arrived and a huge hug to great us. She couldn't wait to hold our new baby. ❤️ We had plenty of glasses of wine together. Heather was the heart of the club, where we had lots of coffee breaks and lunches together. Great chats in her office.
