Obituary For Kathryn Lucinda Jones

With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Kathyrn Lucinda Jones, known as Cindy, on January 3, 2024, at the age of 76 at the QEII hospital in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She was born on November 27, 1947, to parents Leo and Phyllis Jones in St. John, New Brunswick.

Cindy is our beloved sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, and dear friend. She is survived by sister Nancy (late Robert Whorrall) with children Careen (Kevin) & Robbie (Hayley), grandchildren Camryn, Grace, Jessie Robyn, Charlee Anne, Noah, Nick, brother Leo with children Stephanie & Leona (Lah) (mom Dorothy), grandchildren Paislie, Majlinda, Doreena & Leonita and brother Bryan (late Debbie) with son Blaize(Erika), grandchild Keira; her son Robert; her daughters-in-law Roslyn (George) and Alicia; grandchildren Sarah, Justine (Bojan), Robbie (Chelsey), Josh and Jessica (Mark) and great-grandchildren Emma, Ava, Saylor and Amarya and her dear friends Colleen, Kenny & Earl along with many others.

Cindy was not only the light of our family but also a shining presence in the community. Known for her vibrant personality and quick wit. She had a unique gift for making friends wherever she went. Her laughter and humor brought joy to everyone that knew her and everywhere she went. Imagine her with a table full of cards at the bingo hall pointing out everyone she knew, going to see her friends at Jenny’s for a bite to eat or when she would style and cut hair, another one of her many passions.

Cindy’s strength and resilience were as legendary as her stubbornness, defining her as the phenomenal woman we all came to admire. She gave tirelessly of herself to others while always putting them first. Cindy taught us the value of perseverance and the power of a strong will through her unwavering courage and independence. Her stories, laughter, and the love she shared will remain with us, everlasting and inspiring.

She often spoke of angels, showing a deep fascination and belief in their presence. Now, as we mourn her passing, we find solace in the thought that she has become a guardian angel up with Leo & Phyllis, watching over us from above.

As we celebrate her extraordinary life, we remember her spirit, forever a guiding light in our lives. You will be forever missed, until we meet again.

We will always remember your laugh and street smart lessons to me when I visited. I remember you holding my hand at Aunt Debbie and Bryan's wedding and making sure I was safe and informed of what was going on around me. When I was really small you had many nicknames for me and taught me to be tough and not so fragile. Give Nan and Dad and Debbie a hug for us❤️🙏🏼 may you RIP
