Obituary For Mary Alfreda Boudreau

With sadness we announce the passing of Mary Alfreda Boudreau, 94 - at the St. Anne Community and Nursing Care Centre in Arichat. Freda was born in Cape Auguet, Richmond County in 1926 to the late Mary Eva and Joseph Alphonse Briand. She is survived by daughters Sylvia, Boudreauville; Muriel, Petit De Grat; Pauline (Alan), Sydney; Amy (Cliff), Palm Springs, California.; sons Edwin (Hope), Arichat; Vernie (Dora), Petit De Grat; Mark (Sophia), Timberlea; Brent, Halifax; brother Bart, Petit De Grat; 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Joseph Albany Boudreau, nine siblings: Bernadette LeBlanc, Agatha LeBlanc, Velma Briand and six others in infancy, son-in-law Emile Boudreau, brothers in law Harry and Gussie LeBlanc, sisters in law Anne and Lisa Briand. Freda will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews.

Freda worked as a homemaker and also in housekeeping at private homes and for the well known Marbro Motel in Arichat in the 1970s.

The family would like to extend their appreciation for all the care rendered at St. Anne Community and Nursing Care Centre, Arichat, NS, where Freda resided for the last 11 years. There will be a family graveside service on October 9, 2020 at 11am at Our Lady of Assumption Cemetery, Arichat with Rev. John Yake officiating.

Arrangements under the direction of Donald K. Walker Funeral Directors Ltd. Memorial donations can be made to the St. Anne Community and Nursing Care Centre, Arichat or a charity of your choice.
