Obituary For Sherry-Lee Anne Hardy (Cole)

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Sherry Hardy of Middle Sackville at the age of 46 on January 1, 2021.

Sherry, who was so full of life with an infectious smile, loved spending time with her family at the Beach, Peggy's Cove and drives to Cape Breton in the Fall. Sherry was the type of person that made an impact on everyone she met and even made friends worldwide. She loved giving the best hugs. Lady bugs and sunflowers is what she will be remembered for the most. She spent a lot of her time supporting the Autism community, especially raising awareness. Sherry had so much love and support by so many friends and community members including the completion of Sherry's healing garden, delivery of meals and the numerous other gifts.

She was predeceased by her father Stan and brother Dwaine. She is survived by: Her loving husband Phil, Son Cole and Mother Charlene. Brothers: Ron Dixon (Dianne), Lowell Dixon (Stacy), Tom Cole (Heather), Chris Cole (Lynn) and best Friend Donna-Marie Rose "My Donna" as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private graveside service will take place with a Celebration of Life at a later date.

My deepest sympathy to Sherry's family. She was a huge part of our Team at Staples. She held several positions in my department as was always so positive and friendly. Her team loved her. I remember her visit to Kentucky fondly and how amazed she was that all of the Mexican food was totally covered with the "good cheese". Sherry's smile was amazing. She certainly will be missed

My deepest condolences to Phil, Cole and all of Sherry's family. It was a pleasure working with her over the years. Sherry had a knack for lighting up every room she entered with her hearty laugh and brilliant smile. We had many conversations over the years, and although I never met her family personally, I felt I knew them regardless. We would share a good laugh while she relayed her many "Karma" stories. Sherry gave the best hugs and was ready to give one in good times and bad times. She worked hard to provide the best life for her son and was a driving force for autism support. It is so, so sad that she lost her fight with this awful disease as our world lost an amazing person who never spoke badly of anyone and was loved by all. Sending much love to your family.

Phil and Cole, I am so sorry for your loss. Sherry was an amazing woman who was always smiling. She spoke if you both daily at work and Phil we all chuckled over the wake up calls. She loved you both so much and she expressed that often. I hope your memories provide some comfort. To Sherry's mom and brothers: Sherry joked alot about being the only girl and how having so many brothers made her fearless and tough . She spoke about her love for her mom and how supportive you are. I can only imagine the hug she gave her dad when she reached heaven. I hope all the memories you have helps guide you through the difficult times. Her Donna: Sherry spoke alot about you. You were her beacon of light. We heard alot of "my Donna" stories and they always were told with her big smile showing and a glimmer in her eyes. Thank you for always being there .I hope your memories provides some comfort . You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Lori
